HI, I'M ELEANOR!

Graduate of Southern Methodist University with a major in Advertising (a specialization in Creative Advertising) and a double minor in Psychology and Art History. More importantly, my senior superlative was most likely to be a mermaid. I fell in love with sailing across the South Pacific while living on a two-masted staysail schooner so I made it my entire personality. Secretly ready to run away to some island at any moment and become Moana in the flesh! Lover of diving and all things water related.

MY ADVENTURES

Adventures are what keep me grounded. I have a passion for exploring our earth and learning about life from other cultures.

"20 years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."

- Mark Twain

RWANDA

I am incredibly touched by my time in Rwanda with the mountain gorillas and getting the chance to meet the people who dedicate their lives to protecting them. I was especially inspired by Dian Fossey’s story. Without her, these animals would no longer be here today. I can’t recommend reading “Gorillas in the Mist” enough and learning about these gentle and intelligent animals… this place forever has a piece of my heart

FIJI

Diving grounds me and brings peace to my existence. There is no greater feeling than submerging into the underwater world that is our oceans. I always say that diving is the closest thing we as humans have to real magic. As a dive master, I have dove many times but every dive feels like my first. I am always taken aback by the comfort that washes over me the second I am below the surface.

TONGA

Swimming with humpback whales has been a dream of mine ever since I was little. These sentient mammals touched me in more ways than I can explain. They share a curiosuity about us the same we do for them. This species is intelligent beyond belief and this trip will be something I remember for the rest of my life.

KENYA

I think elephants are my soul animal. My trip to Kenya was a unique opportunity to learn about how special, brilliant, and breathtaking elephants are. Elephants are social animals that are deeply connected to their family units. The stories I was able to learn brought me to tears about their capabilites for empathy and their ability to trust humans despite the intense poaching that targets the species. I think we can learn a lot about life and ourselves if we were to spend more time with elephants.

BOTSWANA

The Kalahari Desert in Botswana is one of two places on earth where you can get up close and personal with habitued meerkats. These animals are far different than I imagined! They are very smart and have very good eye sight. The landscape is otherworldly.

PALAU

My decision to start scuba diving was one of the single most impactful decisions I have ever made in my life. We only have one ocean that we will never get back. If you have never been scuba diving, trust me when I say it may too change your life.

MORROCO

Morroco felt like another planet truly. It felt as though you were landing on Mars. I had the honor of experiencing the beauty of the Sahara desert. The people of Morroco are beautiful and their culture is so unique. My favorite part was spending time with the sand puppies - camels!

JAPAN

Japan has by far one of the most beautiful cultures I have experienced. This photo was taken far up through winding roads in the forests of Mount Koya. During my time on this mountain I got the chance to stay in a Buddhist temple and do early morning prayers with the Buddhists. The religion is beautiful and incredibly intentional.

PACIFIC OCEAN

Manta rays are some of the most majestic creatures. They glide through the current in an almost mesmerizing way. When you swim with them you feel like you are flying alongside them! My favorite thing that mantas do is upside-down flips in a circular motion, where just for a moment you see their big beautiful belly! How lucky are we to live on planet where such things exist!
